Antarctica! I can honestly say that I've never been more excited about a trip. I prefer backpacking because I like designing my own adventure and coming and going as I please. With Antarctica, backpacking isn't an option.
I researched a lot of expeditions and cruises to try to find something that really fit my style of traveling and landed on an amazing "base camp adventure" offered by Oceanwide Expeditions. In terms of flexibility and actual time adventuring on Antarctica, it is hands down the best. Did you know some of the Antarctica cruises don't even let people get off the boat! Well this trip has it all - kayaking, scuba diving, snow showing, swimming (brrrr!), cross country skiing, and camping!!
The small expedition ship docks by the mainland and acts as a basecamp and for 6 full days, you pick the activities that you want to do. There is no set schedule - if you want to kayak every day, you can! If you just want to hangout with the wildlife, you can do that too.

While my Antarctica plans are all mapped out, I will still be looking for some tips on Buenos Aires and Tierra del Fuego.
I will only have two days for Buenos Aires and two day in Tierra del Fuego. Any suggestions?
